2019

ART406: Advanced Digital Arts
  • Stamp Poster
    • The assignment was to create a stamp and its corresponding poster based on an author. There was to be a minimum of nine stamps, and the required postal information (Forever|USA) had to be present on the stamp. This assignment used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
ART209: Typography and Text Design
  • SCAD Poster
    • Every year the students of ART209 or ART207 create a poster for the Scholarship and Creative Arts Day (SCAD) at Elizabethtown College. This poster must contain the predetermined information, but all other aspects of design are up for interpretation. The created posters were then selected from to be used for SCAD. This project was created using Adobe Illustrator.

  • 27th Letter
    • The assignment tasked students to design and create another letter of the alphabet. This included placing the letter into the preexisting alphabet and creating an upper and lower case version. Only Adobe Illustrator was used.

2016

COM211: Introduction to Writing Across the Media
  • Feature Story – “How will Blue Jays celebrate Turkey Day?”
    • The assignment was to write a feature story that would be relevant to our campus and would be timely and interesting. I chose to write about the traditions that our students have for Thanksgiving.

  • Sports Story – “Indians poach the Panthers in a 20-38 game.”
    • The assignment was to write a sports story on an Etown sports game, another college game, or another sports game that we would be able to attend. I chose to write about my high school’s homecoming football game.

  • Review – “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, is it worth it?”
    • The assignment was to write a review or opinion piece based on a timely event. I chose to write about the recent special edition re-release of Bethesda’s hit game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

  • News Story – “It’s Time for a Fair”**
    • The assignment was to write a news story that would be timely and relevant to our readers. I chose to write about an annual event, the club fair.

**This is the only piece not uploaded to Wetown. A title search will produce the others.

2015

COM130: Visual Communications
  • Band-Aid Advertisement
    • The assignment was to create an advertisement for a product that could be found in the students’ dorm room. They were to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign to create this advertisement.

  • Magazine Cover & Table of Contents
    • The assignment was to recreate a magazine, that actually existed, with all of the students’ own content. All images, except for the main cover image, used for this assignment were taken at Rickets Glenn State Park by Maryanna. For the assignment, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign were used.

  • Postcard for Study Abroad Office at Elizabethtown College
    • The assignment was to pick a location that the Elizabethtown College’s Study Abroad Office is associated with and create a postcard for the location. For the assignment, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign were used.
